Thrift Stores
I have a new thrift store to tell you about! While it's not actually in Chesapeake, it's not far and is worth the drive. It's the new and improved Thrift Store USA.
You can check out their website at: http://www.thriftstoreusa.biz
It's huge, it's clean and it's got to be the best-organized thrift store in the area. There are several thrift stores I shop, simply because they are close to me--but they drive me crazy because they are completely disorganized. On the surface they look organized, but once you start looking you'll see children's jeans mixed up with the ladies' stuff, girls' jeans in with the boys', and the sizes are frequently missing from the tags (even when there is a size tag on the item of clothing!) . Okay, got that off my chest.
Anyway, Thrift Store USA is competitively priced and are almost as well organized as a department store! I can find what I'm looking for in minutes, instead of having to look at nearly everything on the racks. Oh, and did I say they had good prices? Save time. Save money. My kind of shopping!
They're located at 875 East Little Creek Rd. in Norfolk, between Tidewater Dr. & Chesapeake Blvd. (pretty close to the new WalMart). They are open Mon.-Sat. from 9am-7pm and Sun. from 11am-4pm.
Wednesdays it's 20% off for seniors and on Thursday, Military get 20% off.
Tuesday is "mark down day" with 50% off selected items.
